Acupuncture and Atrial Fibrillation

A study from the World Cardiology Journal demonstrated that acupuncture works as well as a common pharmaceutical to prevent recurrence of atrial fibrillation.
Atrial fibrillation is a very common heart rhythm abnormality, especially as people get older. About 10% of the population has “afib” by 80 years of age. It can be a very annoying condition where patients feel palpitations, lightheadedness, or shortness of breath. I prefer natural means to control this heart problem but there is no shortage of pharmaceutical options.

Another approach is to burn heart tissue in a procedure called Radio Frequency Ablation.

The main concern of atrial fibrillation is that it is a risk factor for stroke.
Go natural. Go after the cause. Add acupuncture to you regimen to prevent and treat heart rhythm abnormalities.
