Wolfson Integrative Cardiology is a Direct Pay Medical Practice
How much is your health worth?
- First, do no harm. “Primum non nocere”.
- Your doctor should listen to you.
- Your doctor should offer the most advanced diagnostic tests available that avoid risk and radiation.
- Your doctor should provide a detailed explanation of test results.
- Your doctor should give you options.
- Your doctor should answer your questions.
Wolfson Integrative Cardiology is a direct pay practice.
This means that full payment for your visit is due at the time of your appointment. You pay for the quality of care you receive. Insurance does not offer fair compensation to doctors that spend time with patients. Wolfson Integrative Cardiology is different from a “concierge” practice with monthly fees and upfront costs.
Dr. Wolfson is not “in network” with any insurance plans. However, at the end of your visit, you will be given documentation and instructions on how to submit the invoice to your insurance company for direct reimbursement. You will most likely get reimbursed for a significant portion of your visit, depending on your plan. We will assist you in any way possible with your claim. The reimbursement check from your insurance company is sent directly to you. The extensive blood test from HD Labs is 100% covered by all insurance companies. If you have a deductible, this counts against the deductible but does not come out of your pocket.
We deeply respect the fact that those 65 and over worked very hard for years and Medicare is part of the fruits of that labor. Unfortunately, office visits for Medicare and AHCCCS patients are not covered and are not eligible for reimbursement. ALL DIAGNOSTIC TESTS ORDERED ON MEDICARE/MEDICAID PATIENTS ARE COVERED.
Wolfson Integrative Cardiology advocates Health Savings Accounts.
These insurance plans are low premium, high deductible plans. Pre-tax money goes into an account for you to use on health care of your choice. This allows the patient to select whatever doctor and method of treatment he/she chooses. Why pay for prescription services and diagnostic coverage that you will likely never use? Dr. Wolfson has saved thousands of dollars by choosing this plan for his family. Please ask your insurance agent if this type of plan would be appropriate for you.
